Best iGCSE schools in Ahmedabad (2026 guide)

iGCSEParent Guides7 min readBy Jono Ellis

If you're looking at iGCSE options in Ahmedabad, the first thing worth knowing is that the city is effectively a Cambridge-only market. Every mainstream day school we verified for this guide runs Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), and none of the schools reviewed confirmed a live Pearson Edexcel iGCSE pathway on their own site. The only Edexcel provider we found in the city is a small tuition-style centre, not a full day school. So when you compare schools here, you're mostly comparing Cambridge iGCSE programmes across different campuses and cluster locations.

Top iGCSE schools in Ahmedabad include the ones below. Several other schools run Cambridge only at Primary or Lower Secondary and route Grade 10 students through IB MYP instead of the iGCSE exam, so it's worth checking the pathway at each school rather than assuming a Cambridge badge earlier in the school means a live iGCSE at Grade 10.

How to shortlist an iGCSE school in Ahmedabad

Before diving into individual schools, it's worth deciding what you care about. A few things to think about:

Board coverage. Ahmedabad is a Cambridge market for iGCSE. If you specifically want Edexcel, you'll struggle to find a mainstream day school offering it here. Some schools also run parallel CBSE, ICSE or IB streams, which can matter if you have more than one child or want a fallback option at Grade 11-12.

Cambridge continuum vs iGCSE-only. Some schools run Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary through to iGCSE and A Levels. Others only enter students into the iGCSE at Grade 10 after running a different curriculum in earlier years. Riverside, for example, uses its own well-being curriculum through Grade 9 and only enters students into the iGCSE at Grade 10.

Post-iGCSE pathway. Almost every school on this list offers Cambridge AS and A Levels or the IB Diploma at Grades 11-12. A few, like AIS, also offer the Gujarat State Board HSC as an alternative at senior secondary. If you already have a plan for Grade 11-12, check that the school offers it.

Location. The main clusters are Bodakdev and Judges Bunglow Road, Shahibaug, S.G. Highway around Shantigram and Vaishnodevi Circle, Bhadaj, Sola Road and Ghatlodia, Bopal, and Sarkhej and Adalaj on the Gandhinagar side. Commute matters more than headline rankings once you're in Grade 10.

Cambridge-affiliated schools in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar include

How Cognito helps iGCSE students

Cognito is an online learning platform used by iGCSE and GCSE students across the UK and internationally. For the sciences and maths, the topic coverage lines up closely with the Cambridge iGCSE specifications, so students at any of the Ahmedabad schools above can use it for structured revision alongside school lessons.

The platform combines short lesson videos, flashcards, past-paper style questions filtered by topic, and a custom quiz builder. There's a wrong-answer mode you can use to loop back over questions you got wrong, and English Literature students get worked example responses at grade levels 5, 7 and 9. School-wide subscriptions unlock every subject on the platform, not just the sciences, so it works for the full Cambridge iGCSE workload rather than one subject at a time.
